Mumbai, Aug 1: Bollywood actress Vidya Balan and many other celebrities of the film industry are expected to join the protest against corruption started by Anna Hazare and team.

Anna's supporters, known as Janlokpal, on Wednesday, Aug 1 tweeted, "Vidya Balan, Bollywood celebs to join Azad Maidan Mumbai protest today."

Vidya Balan and the celebrities will reach Azad Maidan where several supporters of Anna Hazare resumed protest against the government while the Anna along with his core team members have been holding fast at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

Meanwhile, another Bollywood actor and well-known social activist Anupam Kher tweeted, "There can be no press freedom when journalists exist in conditions of corruption, poverty and fear."

Mr Kher's tweets also showed his concern about deteriorating health conditions of Anna, Arvind Kejriwal and Gopal Rai at the protest venue in the national capital.

"I m Worried for d health of people fasting at Jantar Mantar & other places. They are doing it for us. Question is what are we doing for them?" asked Mr Kher.

The 75-year-old Gandhian's fast entered the fourth day on Wednesday while his other team members along with 400 supporters have been observing fast for more than six days.

Doctors earlier on Tuesday suggested Kejriwal and Rai to call off their fast but they refused to follow doctor's suggestion by saying they were "not cowards who will give up because of health concerns."

The septuagenarian also claimed, "I am not even ready to talk to the Prime Minister...I can return Padma Bhushan right now. The people have given me such a big award."

This time Anna and his team demanded an independent probe by Special Investigation Team (SIT) on 14 union cabinet ministers including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The team spared Pranab Mukherjee as the President of India has immunity against any legal action. The team hurled several corruption allegations against the ministers.
