Toppers of Group A Team GB only need a point to go through to the quarters while Oscar Tabarez's side need a draw but have to rely on some favours from UAE, who have to beat Senegal.
British veterans captain Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy have been in sensational form leading the young side upfront. But the serious challenge would be against the Uruguayan stars who boast names like Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and goal-machine Edinson Cavani.
Having lost to Senegal in their opening game, Uruguay struck back to win three points against the UAE. Tabarez's men are termed one of the strongest teams in the games but have failed to live to that expectation. However, the South American giants will give it all in order to seal three points and qualify for the next stage.
Tabarez is likely to mix his midfield and defence options. Right-back Matias Aguirregaray will take Ramon Arias place while Diego Rodriguez could replace Maxi Calzada at the heart of the defence. But their main strength lies in attack with Suarez, Cavani and Gaston Ramirez.
Stuart Pearce's substitutes in the last game Scott Sinclair or Daniel Sturridge are likely to get the nod ahead of Marvin Sordell with Bellamy as an attacking option. Skipper Giggs will lead the midfield along side Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen with Tom Cleverly in an attacking position in midfield.
Great Britain: Butland-Bertrand, Richards, Caulker, Taylor-Allen, Ramsey, Giggs-Cleverley-Bellamy, Sturridge.
Uruguay: Campana-Aguirregaray, Rolin, Coates, Albin-Rodriguez, Arevalo, Lodeiro-Ramirez-Cavani, Suarez
