Liverpool, Jul 22: Manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that Liverpool are ready to off load £35m striker Andy Carroll. The 23-year-old England international has been on the target list of several clubs like West Ham United, Newcastle United and even AC Milan.

But the former Swansea manager insisted that Carroll will not go on loan, instead has slapped a £20m price tag on the striker. Sources close to Carroll have revealed that the former Newcastle hitman is gearing up to prove his worth in Rodgers new reign.

However, Rodgers is certain to sell Carroll after making his with signing with AS Roma striker Fabio Borini for £12m. The 21-year-old Italian forward had previously worked with Rodgers at the Chelsea academy and played a key role in helping Rodgers former club Swansea win promotion to the Premier League.

Defender Martin Skrtel has been the latest target for Zenit St. Petersburg and Manchester City after the Slovak international revealed that talks with the Anfield club over his contract extension had stalled.
