Mumbai terror attacks 2008
New Delhi, Jul 17: With a Pakistan court declaring as illegal the report of the judicial commission that visited India on the Mumbai 26/11 attack, BJP today questioned the neighbouring country's seriousness on the issue and suggested it send another such team to probe the matter.

"Is Pakistan serious at all in handling this 26/11 matter.... If Pakistani government wants to show its seriousness to India that justice will be done to those people who are waiting in Mumbai to hear from Pakistan.... ".... that the due judicial process will be completed and those perpetrators of the violence in Mumbai will be brought to justice?" BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said.

A Pakistani court declared that the findings of the judicial commission sent to India on the 26/11 attack were "illegal" and will not be treated as "evidence". "Is Pakistan serious about it and does it at all want to take this matter seriously and prove to India that they are serious in getting the perpetrators to justice?" Sitharaman said. BJP suggested that in case the court was not satisfied with the results, Pakistan government can send another team to look into the matter.

"We are very concerned and we hope that the government may choose to send one more team if they so require. Pakistan has to seriously consider as to how it is going to get justice sooner rather than later for those who are waiting in Mumbai... in bringing those perpetrators to book at the earliest," Sitharaman said.

The eight-member commission had visited India in Feb.
