Air India flight makes emergency landing in Pakistan
The flight landed due to a technical snag as all three of its hydraulic systems failed, said reports. The registration of the plane is VT-SCG.
Meanwhile, all the passengers are reported to be safe.
According to reports, a relief plane from New Delhi will take off at 10:30 am for the Nawabshah Airport. A technical team will also be taken to repair the aircraft.
The pilot of the flight sought the permission of Pakistani authorities to make an emergency landing after detecting a problem with the hydraulic system, said Pervez George, spokesman, Civil Aviation Authority.
"The aircraft was flying over Pakistan air space when the pilot saw a warning light in the cockpit and sought permission to land at the nearest airport which was Nawabshah," said Air India spokesperson in New Delhi.
