'Bhavi' PM Narendra Modi sweet sold for Rs 35 in Bengal
The sweet promotes the Gujarat CM as the 'Bhavi' (future) Prime Minister of India. According to sources, one piece of the Sandesh is being sold for Rs 35.
Recently, pictures of a packet of sandesh made by Kolkata confectioner Girish Chandra Dey and Nakur Chandra Nandy have been released by the media cell of the Gujarat BJP.
The release informed that the packet of the special branded sweet was gifted to Modi by an unidentified person. The words "Bhaavi (future) PM Narendra Modi" were embossed on the packet, said the press release. While the word 'Bhaavi' is written in the Devanagri script, the rest is written in English.
Demand and popularity of the "branded sweet" is increasing day by day in Kolkata. An employer of the 168-year-old shop on Ramdulal Sarkar Street in north Kolkata informed that they received the first order 15 days back. The employee also stated that they prepare the special sandesh only if they get order.
