Kolkata, Jul 3: With the curious gender case of Asiad gold medallist runner Pinki Pramanik still inconclusive, the latest row seem to be only adding insult to injury. An MMS of Pinki undergoing a gender determination test in a private hospital has gone viral. The 29-second clip shows Pinki unclothed and tests being done on her.

Pinki came in the media limelight when she was accused of rape and physical assault by her live-in partner. The divorcee and mother also alleged that Pinki was a man and that he has been repeatedly assaulting her for a long time.

The leaked MMS is reported to have been recorded when Pinki was subjected to a gender verification test at a private nursing home in North 24 Parganas district in Kolkata.

Enraged with the report of the MMS, Pinki's counsel Tuhin Roy has been quoted as saying, "I have heard about the video clip, though I am yet to see it. Those responsible for making the clip must be immediately arrested for such a heinous act. The matter needs to be reported to the police but at the moment Pinki is behind bars and no one from her family is available to file a report." The counsel has stated that the matter regarding the MMS will be raised in court when the case comes up for hearing on Jul 12.

The police, however, chose to distance itself from the matter by saying that they can take action only if there is an official complaint filed.

With Pinki subjected to one test after the other has been quoted as saying, "I have never been subjected to such humiliation and harassment in my life." She was recently at the SSKM hospital for giving her blood samples for the chromosomal test after all the earlier tests proved to be inconclusive.

Despite conducting a slew of tests, an 11-member medical board consisting of doctors from the SSKM hospital were not able to make a conclusion on Pinki's gender. They recommended a chromosomal test called Karyotyping that was not available in the hospital.
