Nithyananda's Madurai ashram raided for elephant tusks
According to reports, the police conducted raids to check if any tiger skin and elephant tusks are in the ashram premises.
Swami Nithyananda was earlier booked by the Madurai Police after a complaint was lodged against the controversial Godman that he was seen seated on tiger skins spread over elephant tusks at the Madurai mutt.
On the basis of the complaint by the petitioner, Police have filed some cases against a South actress and a woman PRO as well who were reportedly present in the mutt at that time
According to the petitioner, he was served a drink and later asked to dance to an English number by Swami Nithyananda and his team members at the mutt. Police, however, said that they did not have substantial evidence to make a case out of this.
