Nithyananda gets conditional bail, to reach Bangalore soon
Nithyananda, who was missing for 48 hours, was arrested at Ramanagaram on Wednesday after he surrendered before the court.
The godman has been accused of assaulting a media person and also accused in several other charges such as rape, sexual harassment, land encroachment. Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda ordered his arrest after a foreign national alleged that she was sexually abused at the hands of Nithyananda.
Reports reveal that the police recovered condoms, CDs and liquor during the raids at Nithyananda's Ashram in Bidadi.
Earlier, the self-styled godman stormed the world when a CD, which allegedly featured him with a South Indian actress in a compromising position, was broadcasted in TV news channels and the video went viral on internet.
Following the controversy, Nithyananda was arrested on Apr 21, 2010 from Himachal Pradesh and later granted bail on Jun 11, 2010.
However, after getting bail from the Ramanagaram court, Nithyananda is expected to reach his ashram at Bidadi in Bangalore, Karnataka.
