Chennai: Wipro techie commits suicide

in a star hotel on GST Road, St Thomas Mount, Chennai,

on Thursday by consuming sleeping pills.

The deceased, Ramalakshmi, a divorcee, lived with her mother Krishnaveni in Pazhavanthagal.

The suicide note left by the woman held no one responsible for her action. She also apologised to her mother for taking such an extreme step, said the police.

A police complaint was lodged by the woman's mother after she went missing from her residence on Wednesday.

"Apparently, she left the house on Wednesday and reached the star hotel where she took a room," said the police.

According to the police, the woman called up the reception informing that she would vacate the room in another 15 minutes. The room boy went up after 10 minutes and knocked the door. When the woman failed to open the door, the police was alerted only to find her dead.
