Court to seal Jagan's fate on plea for defreezing accounts
Jagan moved court last week after CBI froze the bank accounts of his firms that include a television channel, a newspaper company and other business firms.
The three petitions filed in CBI court in Hyderabad by the representatives of Indira Television Ltd, which runs Sakshi TV, Janani Infrastructure Pvt Ltd and Jagati Publications Ltd allege that the CBI move is to bury the voice of electronic and print media. It also alleged that they aimed to give Jagan's political rivals an advantage.
Earlier, a notice was sent by H Venkatesh, Superintendent of Police and chief investigating officer in the case, to Jaganmohan Reddy for his alleged involvement in the disproportionate assets case.
"These companies have been maintaining accounts with your bank and parked the ill-gotten proceeds of crime received from various sources under the guise of funds for conducting business," said H Venkatesh earlier.
The CBI chargesheet includes the name of the representatives of Jagati publications and other infrastructure business associated with the YSR leader.
