Speaking on the issue, Hillary said, “We want to disable Al-Qaeda. We believe Zawahiri is in Pakistan." She added, “You have to go over those who are trying to kill you. You have to be focused on that."
Highlighting the Mumbai terror attacks 2008, Hillary stated on how the terror attack had seen the death of 166 people, including foreigners by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists. She also said that she had personally authorised an award for Hafiz Saeed who was the brain behind the Mumbai attacks.
Saeed is understood to be the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks and the US had announced a USD 10 million for information leading to arrest and conviction of Saeed and another USD 2 million for Hafiz Adbul Rahman Makki, under the Rewards for Justice programme.
Hillary commented on this, “It may take longer than we like but we will stand with you and trying to make that happen.”
