Gujarat Congress MP breaks down in Parl, alleges harassment

Gujarat, May 2: Gujarat Congress MP Prabhaben Taviyad broke down in Parliament alleging that she was detained and harassed by the police on Gujarat foundation divas.

BJP leader Sushma Swaraj stepped into the matter saying that she would discuss the matter with the Gujarat government and get back to the house.

Other MPs in the house extended their support to Prabhaben Taviyad.

Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has moved a privilege motion against Yoga Guru, Baba Ramdev. According to the SP, action should be taken against the Yoga Guru for his remark that the members of Parliament were murderers, characterless and thieves.

"We, the people of the country, should take responsibility to change Parliament, where not only illiterate but also murderers are enjoying power," he said during the launch of his campaign from Durg Bhilai in Chhattisgarh for his countrywide tour that began on May 2.

"Ramdev is mentally ill and frustrated. He should take proper treatment of his mind," said RJD leader, Lalu Prasad Yadav hitting back at the yoga guru.
