Aarushi murder case: No bail but jail for Nupur Talwar

Ghaziabad, Apr 30: It can be seen as a big blow on the faces of the Talwars when the special CBI court rejected Nupur Talwar's bail plea on Monday, Apr 30.

Following the court verdict, Nupur will be sent to Dasna jail in Ghaziabad at around 4 PM. However, the Talwars moved the session court as their lawyer soon applied for her bail in the court (session court).

The investigative agency CBI had claimed that Nupur may try to destroy evidences against her if she is freed. According to sources, Mrs Talwar was reciting lines from the Hanuman Chalisa in the court room.

Describing the crime as "heinous", the CBI court rejected Talwar's application which tried to establish the fact that being a woman, Nupur should be entitled to leniency.

Their lawyer also said that Nupur should be given bail as another co-accused of the same murder case - Rajesh Talwar got bail from the court. This would be the first time when Nupur would be sent to jail over Aarushi murder case.

Nupur has been accused of killing her 14-year-old daughter. Aarushi was brutally killed inside her Noida residence on May, 2008. Initially the needle of suspicion was pointed towards Hemraj, Talwar's servant. But soon Aarushi's parents came under the scanner when Hemraj's body was found on the terrace of the Talwar's residence on the next day.
