Priests firm on keeping Nirmal Baba away from Maha Kumbh
The national dailies have reported that priests of different temples from all across the country have decided to ban the entry of 'godman' in the sacred Hindu pilgrimage Kumbh Mela.
During the two-day conference of Akhil Bhartiya Teerth Purohit Mahasabha, the decision to boycott self-proclaimed godman Nirmal Baba was taken by the priests apart from barring his entry into the Mela.
In the conference, it has been decided that the priests of 84 shrines will take up the issue to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to keep Nirmal Baba away from the Kumbh.
Baba is likely to arrested soon as different cheating and forgery cases were filed against him. He is accused for demanding 10 per cent of the salary from all the visitors to seek solutions for their problems.
Sources claimed that he take Rs 2,000 from every participant who wishes to be a part of his commune, 'samagam'.
According to the national Television reports, the spiritual guru and his team are allegedly involved in black-marketing. His aides sell the tickets of 'samagam' to those, who can afford to pay Rs 5,000 on the spot.
