Without considering the possible aftermaths of his statement, Nirmal Baba said, "The truth will then come out in the open (if he goes under lie detector test)."
The spiritual leader, during a samagam in Delhi on Thursday, Apr 19 claimed that some people have been trying to malign his image in front of his followers and the rest of the world.
Speaking about the controversy over his alleged suggestion (to deposit Shiv lingam in temples) to his followers, Nirmal Baba said, "This baba has told his devotees the worth of the power of Shiva, who is present in all living beings. The devotees who have come here know, the shiv lingams they keep in their homes are not being properly cared for. So I told them, if a shiv lingam is lying uncared in your homes, it will cause disrespect to Shiva. I advised them that it would be better to offer the shiv lingams to the temples. After all, Shiva is the God of gods. Try to understand the force of Shiva."
Meanwhile, another spiritual guru Swami Satyamitranand stated that no one is above the law adding that a through investigation into the series of controversies surrounding Nirmal Baba should be looked into.
He also said that people should learn to differentiate between a conman and genuine guru.
