BJP's decision on PM candidate likely, Modi, Advani tensed?
According to the party, BJP has so far failed to win the recent assembly and other polls as there is a 'lack of inspirational leadership' and the party has 'bigger army of leaders'.
It would be an acid test for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, senior leader LK Advani along with other leaders such as - Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, party president Nitin Gadkari.
According to sources, the names of the above mentioned BJP leaders are doing the rounds in the party for the post. Mr Modi is on the top of the list of PM candidate, sources informed.
However, BJP's ally JD(U) leader and Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, who reportedly does not share a good rapport with the Gujarat CM, is unlikely to support Mr Modi for the crucial post.
Top brass of RSS including general secretary Suresh (Bhaiyyaji) Joshi recently met Mr Gadkari, Advani and other senior BJP leaders and discussed about the future course of action and the issue of PM candidate for the 2014 general polls. The leaders clarified the fact that they do not want to confuse its cadre who should know who they are campaigning for.
