Actress Genelia D'Souza to appear in court in cheating case?
The court has given the actor a deadline of Apr 25 seeking an explanation on why her name should not be included in the FIR. The matter was disclosed by Balaji, counsel of the petitioner Chatta Tirupathaiah.
Tirupathaiah had filed a petition in the High Court regarding the purchase of a duplex house from real estate company Anjaniputra Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.
The petitioner had also cited that the police had not complied with the a lower court's order to file a case against Genelia and five directors of the company, also accusing them of not giving him possession of the duplex house.
Tirupathaiah alleged that the police finally registered an FIR against the directors but left out Genelia. The Nampally court, based on his petition had directed the Saifabad police to register a case.
