Mamata toon row: People make my cartoons too, says Lalu

Patna, Apr 16: RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav lashed out at Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee for arresting Jadavpur university professor for posting toons on her terming it an attack on the freedom of expression.

"People make my cartoons to which I have never objected. It is an assault on the freedom of expression," he said.

A Jadavpur University professor and his friend was arrested by the West Bengal police for posting a toon of Mamata Banerjee with Railway Minister Mukul Roy and his predecessor Dinesh Trivedi.

The step taken by Mamata government was heavily criticised throughout the country.
