No power cuts if AT&C losses are low: DHBVN
While announcing the plan, the discom managing director, Anurag Agrawal, said if the system permits, no scheduled cuts and load restrictions would be imposed on such feeders. Although zero cut and peak load restrictions are applicable, consumers on these feeders may seek special dispensation during peak load hours.
To qualify to become "no power cut feeder", an industrial feeder should not have more than 6% AT&C losses, an urban feeder not having more than 10% AT&C losses. Any other rural domestic supply (RDS) feeder having AT&C losses up to 15% will get four hours' extra supply. He said that the reward-oriented power regulatory measures (PRM) would be applicable with immediate effect. However, all superintending engineers of the operations wing shall submit monthly report and the position will be reviewed quarterly.
