New Delhi, Apr 12: The Supreme Court, on its crucial judgment, claimed that all people in the country have the rights of getting an education. The apex court on Thursday, Apr 12 claimed that Right to Education (RTE) Act is constitutionally valid in India.

According to the verdict, 25 percent seats would be reserved for poor students in all private and government schools of India. However, boarding schools have been exempted from the act.

The RTE Act is also not applicable for private minority schools which don't get aide from central government fund. The RTE Act will be effective in schools controlled by the government and local bodies.
