Manmohan Singh stays hungry for Pak president Zardari

New Delhi, Apr 8: Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh on Sunday, Apr 9 stayed hungry for Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari. The president of the neighbour country reached India late by one hour and timings of all meetings between Zaradi and Indian politicos have been cut short.

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Pawan Kumar Bansal received Zaradi and his 40-member delegations at the airport. The Pakistani president came along with his son Bilwal Zardari Bhutto and Pakistani Foreign Minister, Rehman Malik.

Manmohan Singh arranged a royal lunch for Zardari at his (Manmohan's) residence at 7RCR in the national capital. Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Senior BJP leader LK Advani, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj will also attend the lunch along with Singh and Zardari.

According to sources, a lavish launch has been organised at the PM's residence. The cuisine has been tastefully selected with an aim of bringing together specialties of all regions. From Kashmir, the menu will have 'goshtaba', meatballs in curd-based curry which is the mainstay of Wazwan.

Dosa and avial (mixed vegetables) is the selection from the South along with prawns. As starters, there will be Barra Kabab from the central heartland of the country. The desserts will include phirni from the north and sandesh, a Bengali delicacy.
