YSR
Hyderabad, April 1: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has not named the late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as one of the accused in the charge-sheet of the CBI in the disproportionate assets case against the YSR Congress Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. [UPDATE: Assets case: CBI likely to arrest Jagan soon]

Now, the big question is being discussed in the political circles is that why CBI has not named Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in the charge-sheet? Sources said that it was because CBI has included the name of YSR in the FIR for which 29 Congress MLAs and MP Raja Mohan Reddy and Sabbam Hari have resigned initially.

Morover, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party leaders has alleged that Congress party got YSR's name deleted from the charge-sheet as it feared the government would otherwise collapse. If YSR name was included in charge-sheet in Jagan assets case many MLAs would have left party and this would have led to the collapse of the Kiran Kumar Reddy's government in the state.

Dismissing the TRS calim the Congress leaders said that they had not done anything with the charge-sheet. They also point out that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's name which was mentioned in the FIR of the Bofors case was removed from the charge-sheet after he was killed in bomb blast.

Meanwhile, YSR Congress party's leader has termed the charge-sheet as fraudulent and has planned to move court against it. The filed charge-sheet has been named Jagan as the prime accused in a list of 13 people that was submitted by the CBI in a special CBI court in Hyderabad on Mar 31 and his financial advisor Vijay Sai Reddy has been named accused number two.
