The Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Rural Development, Arvind Singh 'Gop' issued the directive to officials on Friday.
He also asked the officials to monitor developmental activity in the state adding that any laid back attitude in the work would be dealt with seriousness and severe action would be taken against officials.
"I have warned the officials to get out of the old mindset and start afresh with priorities that are in sync with the promises made by the Samajwadi Party (SP) government," he said.
He said that he would travel to rural areas, check the developments himself and take a note if the standards were being maintained.
"There are a lot of projects like the MNREGA, Indira Awaas Yojna, Regular Employment Schemes etc. that were tailormade for the poor and to provide them better living, but unfortunately graft has made a mess of the whole system," he said, adding that "through his own system" he will keep a Hawk's eye on the functioning of his officials.
