Karnataka to have President's rule?

Bangalore, Mar 20: Former Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa set a deadline to be reinstated as chief minister is coming to end on Tuesday, Mar 20. Congress has demanded Governor HR Bhardwaj to impose President's rule and dismiss BJP's government in Karnataka.

Expressing concern at the crisis that is intensifying with the tussle between BJP and Yeddyurappa, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G Parameshwar said that the internal fight between Yeddyurappa and DV Sadananda Gowda for the position of Chief Minister had strained the development of the state.

Talking to Reporters, Parameshwar said that K Rehman Khan, Congress candidate has filed his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha by-poll, adding that he expressed his concern over the severe drought in the districts.

Meanwhile, the Congress leaders has decided to meet the Governor to present a memorandum regarding this issue.

"There are doubts about budget being presented on Mar 21. Even if the budget is presented, nobody knows who will present it. The government may even defer the budget session or the government may fall within a day or two," he added.
