Union Budget 2012-13: Who said what
The Left lashed out at the UPA government saying that the budget was completely " ineffective, purposeless, clerical and fruitless".
UPA's rival BJP trained its guns on the budget and said, "Anti-aam aadmi, inflationary Budget."
Trinamool Congress famous for its anti-agreement stance with its ally UPA over almost every issue said the union budget for 2012-13 was "tolerable".
AICC General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi said it was a good budget.
According to Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi it was, "Commendable Budget. Happy that rail safety has been kept in mind."
"The objective of bringing back growth has not been," said RV Kanoria, FICCI.
"Difficult year and commendable Budget," said HRD minister, Kapil Sibal.
"Budget aims at faster, equitable, sustainable and more inclusive growth," read a tweet by the PMO.
"When the time comes, we have to bite the bullet on controlling subsidies," said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
"Finance Minister has been able to address twin tasks of checking inflation and accelerating growth," he said.
"Have made a lot of effort to make a good Budget," said Kaushik Basu, economic advisor to PM.
