Akhilesh Yadav hints at possibility of Third Front
In Delhi to attend the Budget session of Parliament, Akhilesh accompanied by his father and Samajwadi party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said, “If there is a need for a third front in the country, then it is a good start. The priority of the Samajwadi Party (SP) will be to take Uttar Pradesh on the path of progress."
He added, “Since the people would put their faith in us and have given us such a huge majority, then it is our duty to issue manifesto and take Uttar Pradesh on the path of happiness. This will be our priority."
On being asked on the possibility of mid-term polls, he said that the Samajwadi party was ready if such a situation arises. He said, “When there will be elections, we shall fight it on the strength of our workers. The results are in the hands of the people."
On the increasing cases of violence reported in the aftermath of SP grabbing power in the state, he said, “All these officials belong to the earlier government. I believe that in Uttar Pradesh the good officials will be given a chance. All these things would be in control. Anybody who breaks the law would be punished. To keep up the law and order, the Samajwadi Party will do whatever is necessary for the moment."
Akhilesh Yadav will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Mar 15.
