Illegal mining: 'Janardhana Reddy made Rs 150 cr per month'

Bangalore, Mar 9: Karnataka's mining baron, Janardhana Reddy's personal assistant has revealed that he was getting about Rs 150 crore, every month from the mining companies, at the rate of 30 percent of the value of the illegally exploited iron ore.

The shocking revelation has come out from Ali Khan, who was personal assistant of the former Karnataka minister during a interrogation carried out by Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the illegal mining case.

Reddy, who was arrested by CBI officers of Andhra Pradesh on last Sep, is now being interrogated by Karnataka branch in connection with the alleged irregularities committed by his associated mining company.

Former minister Reddy has told CBI that he was no way connected to Ali Khan and had no dealing with him.

It is also learnt that Ali Khan has revealed several secrets about other dealings and properties of Janradhana Reddy that the investigation agency has so far not identified.
