After Dilip Kumar's visit,Bollywood actor Joy Mukherjee dies

Mumbai, Mar 9: The veteran Joy Mukherjee, who was admitted in Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, died on Wednesday, Mar 9. The actor was suffering from high fever and was under ventilator.

Mr Mukherjee was rushed to the hospital when his health started deteriorating on Wednesday. However, many Bollywood legends including Dilip Kumar and his wife Saira Banu visited ailing Mr Mukherjee on Thursday on the day when the entire nation was celebrating the festival of colour - Holi.

On Thursday, spokesperson of Mrs Mukherjee was quoted as saying, "Joy is running high fever, he is still unconscious and his overall condition is still critical. Six doctors are working on his health."

Mukherjee stepped into showbiz with 1960 hit film "Love In Simla". His popularity soared with projects like "Shagird", "Love In Tokyo", "Ziddi", "Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon" and "Ek Musafir Ek Hasina".
