Mayawati to submit resignation as SP leads in UP
In 2007, Mayawati led the BSP in Uttar Pradesh and it emerged as the single majority party after many years, however, this time there is a different story around.
The Samajwadi Party is leading in 190 seats out of 403, while BSP is trailing as it's leading in 101 seats.
Meanwhile, the SP can't form the majority without alliances. The Samajwadi Party has asserted that it's open to all the options, including a political pact with Congress.
So far, Congress party had been maintained that it will not forge any alliance with SP. At present, for Congress alliance with SP is the only political headroom in Uttar Pradesh.
