New Delhi, Mar 5: Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who visited US for a routine medical check-up, returned to India at a crucial time when Uttar Pradesh assembly election result 2012 is all set to be declared.

Congress spokesperson Janardhan Trivedi, meanwhile, announced, "Congress President Sonia Gandhi has come back after her routine check up and she is absolutely fine."

Meanwhile, many people started asking - has the Congress President returned to India following the news of her son-in-law Robert Vadra? Mr Vadra on Monday, Mar 5 was attending a prize distribution ceremony at Gurgaon DLF Golf course and was rushed to nearby Medanta Medicity hospital when he fainted.

Mrs Gandhi had left for US on Feb 27 and faced protest in the country. Sikh community in the country - Sikh for Justice (SFJ) protested against the Congress president and demanded her exclusion from the country.

However, it seems that Mrs Gandhi returned to India just to support her son Rahul Gandhi whose political fate will be decided on Tuesday, Mar 6 when the UP assembly poll results are declared.
