Bangalore, Mar 5: Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa is mentally unstable after losing chair, after corruption charges were levelled against him, said Siddaramaiah, Opposition leader in the Assembly.

"Yeddyurappa has been hankering after the top position in the party and is planning to hold conventions in Hubli and other places to display his strength to the party leadership. He has been changing his stance on political issues every day as he has become ‘mentally disturbed’ after losing power. He has resorted to blackmail tactics to get the post of CM or party state president," he said.

He further lashed out at the present Chief Minister of Karanataka, DV Sadananda Gowda for not letting the power go off his hands to Yeddyurappa, saying that CM was power hungry after ruling the state for just six months. [UPDATE: Yeddyurappa again to be arrested? Warrant issued]

He also expressed confidence that Congress would come back to power in the Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha bypoll as people lost their faith in the ruling BJP due to rampant corruption and infighting.

Talking about the attack on media people by lawyers in the state, he called the whole incident unfortunate and said that it was due to police inaction.
