Kingfisher management threatens of shutdown

New Delhi, Mar 4: Cash-strapped airlines, Kingfisher threatned to shutdown to its pilots on strike at a meeting with its pilots in Mumbai.

The statement was made on Thursday by CEO Sanjay Argrawal after the piolts remained firm that they would not operate flights if they were not paid their salaries. Despite the warning, not many pilots reported on duty, but the operations however, were not affected.

The airlines, which is tangled in a huge debt-trap owes Rs 40 crore to the service tax department and also failed to meet its Feb 29 deadline

Meanwhile, Vijay Mallya earlier in an letter to the employees of the airlines regretted that the airlines could not pay them as its accounts were frozen.
