New Delhi, Mar 3: In a mixed pattern of trade on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market during the past week, groundnut and palmolein oils rose on pick-up in retailers demand, while mustard and cottonseed oils fall on adequate supplies.

However, non-edible oils moved in a narrow ran ge in scattered deals and settled around previous levels. Traders said pick-up in retailers demand against limited arrivals from producing region mainly led to rise in groundnut and palmolein oils prices.

They said adequate stocks positions against subdued demand kept pressure on mustard and cottonseed oils. In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery oil (Gujarat) rose by Rs 100 to Rs 10,350 per quintal, while groundnut solvent refined which remained steady during the major part of week found fresh buying support and moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 1,650-1,700 per tin.

Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils also rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,50 and Rs 7,100 per quintal, respectively. On the other hand, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) declined by Rs 50 to Rs 7,750 per quintal and mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils held steady at Rs 1,050-1,205 and Rs 1,205-1,305 per tin.

Cottonseed mill delivery oil (Haryana) oils lacked necessary buying support and shed Rs 20 to Rs 6800 per quintal.
