New Delhi, Mar 1: One more suspected LeT operative has been arrested from Jharkhand by Delhi Police taking the number of terrorists picked up in the last two days to three.

Taufeek Ahmed Peer (20), cousin of Ehtesham, who was arrested here yesterday, was picked up by police from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, sources said here.

They said no explosives were found on Peer and he is being brought to Delhi.

Peer would be produced before the court of Hazaribagh Chief Judicial Magistrate and Delhi Police would seek his remand to bring him here for further interrogation in connection with the foiled terror bid in the capital.

Delhi Police had yesterday said it had foiled a major terror attack with the arrest of two LeT operatives who had planned to trigger explosions in crowded localities in the next few days.

Police had said the attacks were "very imminent" and both the arrested, whose identity was withheld, were Indian citizens, one of whom was trained in Pakistan in bomb-making and using weapons.

Peer was staying in the house of Ehtesham's father, who was identified as Farooq.

Farooq is an employee of Jammu and Kashmir government and "married" to a woman hailing from Jharkhand's Giridih district, a senior police official in Hazaribagh said.

He has built a house at Pabra village in the Pelawal police station area of Hazaribagh district and named it as "Kashmir House", where his wife and Peer stay, but Farooq has not visited the house for over two years, he said.

The police were searching the house following the arrests.
