Trinamool-Congress
Kolkata, Feb 28: Trinamool Congress leaders on Tuesday, Feb 28, created ruckus in the Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Mediapersons were attacked in the ruffle.

Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee gave a statement that the incident was pre- planned.

On Monday, Feb 27, Mamata instructed her ministers to make sure that no government employees take part in the strike, has also warned people of the dire consequences if her orders are violated.

The left unions have turned a countrywide industrial strike into a general strike. The strike is being carried out to protest against the delay in salaries and pensions for government employees, farmer suicides and the law and order situation.

"This is obnoxious. A government is trying like the British to issue orders which are anti-democratic. This is a black fatwa issued by the government. They want to silence and muffle democracy," said Biman Bose, CPI(M) leader.
