UP Polls: Congress in shock! Lalu Prasad bats for Rahul
While addressing the election rally in Bulandshahr town, Yadav said that "Rahul Gandhi has worked really hard in Uttar Pradesh to strengthen the position of the Congress party. He has carved a niche and created a unique identity for the Congress party in Uttar Pradesh through his efforts. Now, you (people of Uttar Pradesh) must give him your support and power."
The leader was campaigning for his son-in-law Jitendra Yadav who is contesting the elections for Congress.
However, it was a surprise for the party as Lalu had always criticized the Congress over a series of issues including Jan Lokpal Bill.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi is aiming to become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, he has left no stone unturned to achieve his goal. The state has completed its fifth phase of assembly polls, sixth phase will be held on March 3.
