B'lore: Fire department admits fault in mock fire drill

Bangalore, Feb 25: The Director General of Karnataka Fire Department on Saturday, Feb 25 confessed lapse in the mock fire drill case where a 24-year-old woman died during a fire & safety mock drill conducted by the fire department on Feb 24, reports CNN-IBN.

Reacting to the case, AR Infant, the Director General of Karnataka Fire Department said that there were serious lapses during the exercise.

"What happened was unfortunate. We do admit there could have been procedural lapses and we are investigating into it but what we will do now is that we shall look into our safety operating procedures and make our mock fire drills more secure, " said AR Infant.

The woman lost his llife after fell from the third floor after her rope snapped while she was trying to come down.
