PM, Chidambaram likely to be summoned in 2G case
The development has come after the former Telecom Secretary and TRAI chairman, J S Sharma on Feb 22 revealed before JPC that former Finance Minister and the then Telecom Minister were well aware of the decision to keep the spectrum pricing out of the terms of reference of the group of ministers on spectrum.
Meanwhile, the MPs from opposition parties believe that the decision to not disclose the spectrum pricing to the group of ministry (GoM) paved way for India's biggest scam causing a loss of Rs 1.73 lakh crore to the exchequer.
Moreover, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy on Feb 23 moved the Supreme Court in appeal against Chidambram over his alleged role in the irregular allotment of spectrum to telecom services.
