BSY's dream shattered, Gowda to remain K'taka CM: Gadkari
Yeddyurappa met Gadkari in Ashoka Hotel in Bangalore on Friday and reportedly tried to convince Gadkari on the matter, though it seems that he lost ground to Gowda.
Earlier, Yeddyurappa had put Feb 27 as the deadline for BJP to take its decision. According to sources, the former CM also threatened the party that he will take his own decision if the party fails to re-appoint him as Karnataka CM before Feb 27 when he (BSY) celebrates his 70th birthday.
Here it can be recalled that Yeddyurappa was forced to resign over his alleged involvement in several scams including land denotification cases in the state. He was arrested and later released on bail. He claims that he will prove his innocence soon, but after the latest decision by Gadkari, it seems that the party has little hope in him (BSY).
