We will come to power in the next election, says Vijayakanth
While addressing the party meeting, he commented, "All sections of the people, particularly students preparing for exams, are affected by the unprecedented power cut.
"Those who promised to make the state a power surplus one have already increased the power cut from four hours to 10 hours." Vijayakanth said.
"Since 1991, AIADMK and DMK have been ruling the state but have failed to initiate new power projects to meet growing power needs," he alleged.
"I got elected in 2006 Assembly polls. We emerged as a principal Opposition party with 29 MLAs in 2011 polls. In the next election we will come to power," he added.
Commenting on his suspension from the assembly, he asked the members whether there was any rule which barred the members from pointing fingers. “Speaker should always act unbiased,” he said.
