Land Grabbing case: Sasikala's husband Natarajan arrested
It has been expected that Natarajan will be produced before the court at midnight or tomorrow morning.
In the beginning of this month, Jayalalithaa decided to oust Sasikala and 11 of her relatives from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Party (AIADMK). Jayalilathaa and the party didn't mention any official reason behind their drastic step. While, it was found that Sasikala and her family were trying to dominate the party matters and were influencing the government functioning.
On Feb 3, 2012, Sasikala's brother Diwakaran was also arrested in Thiruvarur district for allegedly demolishing a woman's house in Rishiyur village.
In the court, Sasikala denied Jayalalithaa's involvement in the disproportionate assets case, "Jayalalithaa is not involved in the affairs of partnership. I alone operated the bank account. Jaya was a partner but not involved in affairs. I take blame for some of the things."
Accused Sasikala on Saturday, Feb 18, said that the Jaya publication was operated by her and Jayalalithaa was just her partner for that firm.
