Nitin Gadkari to continue as BJP Chief till 2014?

New Delhi, Feb 17: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari will be given a second term in office after the current three-year term expires in Dec this year, reports The Pioneer.

The report further said that the RSS has also communicated with the BJP senior leaders that it would like to see Gadkari continue beyond Dec 2012.

Moreover, the RSS leadership wants BJP to face the crucial 2014 Lok Sabha polls with Gadkari as party chief. Furthermore, the RSS top brass also wants Gadkari to continue in the position as BJP president irrespective of the results in UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Goa.

Meanwhile, the BJP will discuss the matter in the forthcoming National council meeting after Uttar Pradesh polls. Sources from BJP revealed that the party is yet to decide on Gadkari's extension terms.
