K'taka: Cong moves out from porngate probe

Bangalore, Feb 15: The state Congress party on Wednesday has denied to join the panel committee to probe the sleazy video row, in which three tainted ministers were caught watching a sleazy video clip in their mobile phone during an assembly elections.

"We are not going to be part of the committee. It is an eyewash and an attempt to protect them," said Siddaramaiah, Congress leader told the media people.

The panel comprising of four legislators from the ruling party BJP, two from Congress and one from the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) and they have been asked to submit their report by Mar 12.

Last week during assembly session, three ministers - CC Patil, Lakshmana Savadi and Krishna Palemar were caught on camera watching a sleazy video clip in mobile phone. They had resigned on Wednesday, Feb 8 following the row.

The incident caused a ruckus in the assembly calling for the immediate sacking of the ministers. While, the opposition has demanded for the expulsion of the MLAs from the House.
