New Delhi, Feb 14: It seems that some Hindu groups can do anything to show their protest against western culture. If reports are to believed then Hindu Makkal Katchi in Kanyakumari organised a special "wedding" of stray dogs in order to spoil the celebration over Valentine's Day.

The news surfaced when editor of the news agency ANI, Smita Prakash from her personal Twitter account tweeted, "Hindu Makkal Katchi organizes 'wedding' of stray dogs in Kanyakumari to "discourage the celebration of Valentines Day."

Meanwhile, reports claimed that BJP and Bhartiya Sindhu Sabha (BSS) conducted peaceful protests against the Valentine's Day celebrations in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Opposing the V-Day celebrations, the BSS activists, led by its general secretary J P Moolchandani, gathered at Rajbara chowk here, carrying anti-Valentine's Day posters and banners and urging youths to celebrate this day as 'Mata-pita pujan diwas' (mother-father day). Members of the district unit of BJP gathered at Regal Circle here, distributing pamphlets against the celebrations.
