Delhi blast
New Delhi, Feb 14: The country is slowly coming to terms with the Israel embassy car explosion case that rocked the capital city of Delhi Monday evening. The fact that the explosions took place dangerously close to the Prime Ministers residence in Race Course Road exposed how vulnerable we were to terror attacks like such.

With the Israeli Prime Minister pointing fingers at Iran in the aftermath of the explosion, alleging that they were behind the attacks, Iran has in the meanwhile denied the allegation. On the other hand, Iran accused Israel of staging the attacks.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has been quoted as saying to agencies, "Israel launched attacks against its own embassies in New Delhi and Tbilisi in order to tarnish Iran's friendly ties with the host countries. Israel perpetrated the terror actions to launch psychological warfare against Iran."

In a statement made yesterday, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had blamed Iran and stated that terror group Hezbollah perpetrated the attacks against Israeli diplomats in India and Georgia. Following the episode, central agencies of Israel, the Mossad will play a major part in the investigations that are already underway.

Monday's attack shows the first time a sticking bomb was used to cause damage. Sources have claimed that an incendiary explosive device was used in the attack. This device has the capability to start fire in itself.
