Osama bin Laden wanted his children to live in peace in US
According to Zakaria al-Sadah, whose sister Amal was the wife of Osama bin Laden, "Bin Laden told his own children and grandchildren, 'Go to Europe and America' and get a good education."
In an interview to The Sunday Times Sadah said that bin Laden was adamant that his 'children should not follow him down the road to jihad'.
Sadah was recently reunited with Amal, who was also injured in an encounter when the US Navy Seals killed Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan in May 2011.
Sadah said that Osama's three wives and kids were for months in a three-room flat in Islamabad guarded by the Pakistan's ISI intelligence service. Amal also said that bin Laden had repents about the Sep 11 attacks in the US in 2001, that killed atleast 3,000 people and left many other injured, making him one of the most wanted terrorists in the world.
"You have to study, live in peace and don't do what I am doing or what I have done," Osama had advised his kids to pursue further studies in US and European universities.
