Vijayakanth
Chennai, Feb 13: Security has been beefed up at DMDK chief Vijayakanth's residence a day after AIADMK party members protested against the pasting of chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa's pictures outside his residence in Saligramma.

Reports reveal that police have been deployed at Vijayakanth's residence.

The members of both AIADMK and DMDK have been involved in poster wars ever since the feud started between Jayalalithaa and Vijayakanth in the assembly following which DMDK members were evicted after there was a war of words between Jayalalithaa and the DMDK.

The members of the DMDK put across posters in Saligramam, Chinmaya Nagar and Koyambedu portraying Jayalalithaa and her party in negative light. The members of both the parties engaged in an argument after Senthil Pandian, 129th ward AIADMK councillor removed the posters.

Meanwhile, Vijayakanth criticised the AIADMK government for failing to curb the power crisis in the state and lashed out at the government for distributing free fans, grinders and mixies without power supply.

"If the situation continues, the AIADMK government will face the same fate as the DMK," he had said.
