New Delhi, Feb 13: After initial confusion, Delhi police finally on Monday, Feb 13 confirmed that it was a terror attack that exploded the Israeli embassy car which moving towards 7 RCR - the official residence of Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh.

The police confirmed that it was a planned and co-ordinated terror attack. An unidentified motor bike allegedly followed the Toyota-Innova car and allegedly attached an explosive device on the back of the car that left four people injured including a woman Israeli diplomat who has been identified as Ms Ms Talyesshoea. According to sources, the diplomat was on her way to pick up her children from American School. Meanwhile, Indian Home Ministry officials informed that initial probe suggests attachment of foreign substance in the Israeli Embassy car. [UPDATE: India, Chidambaram yet to track culprit]

However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran of standing behind the terror attack. Here it can be mentioned that the report of the explosion came with another report of similar nature in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, though the explosion has been averted. Co-incidentally, the blast have taken place just a day after of the death anniversary of Hezbollah leader Imad Mughniyah who was killed when his car exploded in 2008.
