Indore: BJP accuses Cong of delaying airport project

Madhya Pradesh
Indore, Feb 13: BJP on Monday accused Congress leaders including former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh of delaying the Indore airport terminal project.

Shankar Lalwani, BJP Indore unit president slammed Congress claiming that the NDA government had sanctioned the project, but Digvijay Singh's government didn't allot land for it.

Lalwani said that BJP would stage a protest if Congress tries to keep other party leaders out of the inauguration, which will take place on Feb 14. Lalwani added that Congress alone should not take credit for the project.

R N Shinde, Indore Airport Director told media that the new terminal would be operationalised from Feb 14, Tuesday. "It is simply a shifting of airport operations from the old building to the new building. Airport Authority has not invited any political leader," Shinde said.

Kantilal Bhuriya, Congress' state unit chief will inaugurate the new terminal, reported the state Congress.
